Irrigation

Lawn irrigation is an essential part of maintaining a healthy lawn. A lack of hydration will damage the root systems making the grass thin and leaving you with brown patches around your lawn. However, if your lawn is given too much water, it will be starved of oxygen and may suffocate, and roots will become shallow and therefore make your lawn more susceptible to diseases and damage in drought conditions.

Finding the correct water balance can be a difficult task and very time consuming. This is why more and more people are opting for automated irrigation systems which take the stress and labour out of watering the garden correctly.

Why choose an automated irrigation system?

  • Ensure an even coverage of your entire lawn.

  • Give your lawn exactly the amount of water it needs to thrive.

  • Watering your garden very early in the morning reduces the evaporation that occurs once the sun is high in the sky and leaves the lawn to be enjoyed during the day.

  • It is more cost efficient, saving you money on your water bill (how many of you have left the sprinkler on overnight by accident?).

  • Less stressful as it eliminates the hassle of hand watering and pulling hoses around the garden.

  • Convenient for people who travel – no one wants to spend hours on their lawn in spring only to have it die during their two week summer holiday.

  • As a result of the above, the existence of an automated irrigation system can add to the attractiveness of your property when the time comes to sell.
